[breath of the world]

It's been a beautiful summer. I said goodbye to my Grammy-winning band LA Chamber Singers/ Cappella at Vibiana Cathedral in June with our Liquid Architecture culmination concerts. The Hollywood Bowl season was spectacular with performances of Carmina Burana, La Traviata and 2001: A Space Odyssey to live score (LA Philharmonic). I sang on three new feature film releases, Minions, Vacation, and Sea of Trees (SAG-AFTRA Singers). This month I am wrapping up coaching vocals for the Children's Theater of Long Beach and teaching vocals for dancers at camp at En Pointe Studios. We launched a mindfulness/yoga workshop for young artists called "The Performer's Toolkit." And I made my Ojai Festival debut on SILA: Breath of the World, with my Oberlin and CalArts classmates in its West Coast Premiere (John Luther Adams, composer and 2015 Pulitzer Prize winner). LA Opera, LA Philharmonic, and LA Master Chorale schedules are up for 2015-16! It will be, as always, a lovely sonic journey.....
